I'm making this tomato baby beanie pattern and am thinking about how I am going to do the leaves at the top. The pattern for the leaves begins
*k1 CC, k7 MC* and the two color work ends with k7 CC, k1 MC. I was thinking that I might be able to do a slip stitch thing in those two rows to avoid stranding yarn over 7 stitches in the inside of the hat. I thought I could do something like this.
Row 1 - *sl 1, k7 *
Row 2 - *k1 CC, put stitch back on left needle, k3 CC, k5 MC*
And then do it again for the top part of the leaves. Would this work or am I crazy?
