Phew! I finally finished this darn thing. It's from this (http://www.canadianliving.com/CanadianLiving/client/en/Crafts/DetailNews.asp?idNews=2375&idSM=307) pattern in Paton's Classic Wool Merino, winter white.
I'm pleased overall--it's my first ever large project and my first time with cables, and I made a matching pillow! Heh. I'm unhappy with the fringe, it looks a little anemic. If anybody has any tips on how I can spruce that up, it'd be great.
Anyway, my camera isn't great but here are some pics. This is for my mom for xmas.

All I can say is WOW!!! I started that pattern at one point in time but didn't get very far, I just couldn't stick with it, even though it's beautiful. You did a great job!

That is a work of art! :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:
My suggestion would be to add more fringe right in the middle of the already existing fringe to fill it out a bit more.

Beautiful, and I commend you on all the patience it must have taken to get that done!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! I admire you to be able to do such a large project with so many cables and stitch changes, I'd be board within a week and mine would be about the width of a scarf; believe me, I've tried to knit afghans and it just doesn't work. Then again maybe it has something to do with yucky red heart yarn, that stuff is so scratchy and icky to knit with. Way to go-your Mom will give you a huge  for that work of art!
