Where can I find patterns for tube socks? All the sock patterns I find appear too advanced for me.

Fending off frostbitten footsies,

There's a pattern for Spiral Rib Mittens in the book Homespun Handknit (available in many libraries) that can be easily adapted to make socks. You just leave out the thumb.

Spiral rib was my first thought too! I've not tried them myself, but they are supposed to fit very nicely. And because the sole won't always be in the same place, they should last longer than regular socks. There are a few free patterns on the web, including this one (http://www.soxie.com/spirals.html). You should be able to find more here (http://www.socknitters.com/sockpatterns/sockpatterns.htm).

I think the Frugal Knitting Haus pattern might be within my grasp. Is it possible to knit socks on 2 sets of round needles?
