It's called a "pinwheel" sweater.
Here's one version:
Yesterday I saw on someone this type of sweater, it could be used either side, there was no wrong top or bottom....and i would be interested to find a pattern to knit one for my 4 years old GrandDaughter, and then may be one for myself. But I don't Crochet so i would like to do it with needles. Anyone knows where to find Free patterns and explanations?

Look at Diane's link in the post above yours. It's sized for children or adults and knitted.
Thank you but it still has some crochet work on it, and it looks complicated to make. Any other pattern out there?
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR RESPONSES.
