What are yours????

I need to pick up some size 2's and 3's.....do I go Inox, Addi or Options?

I looove my KP options, but they are the only ones I've used for sock knitting.

I like KP "classics" in the 32" length for doing two socks at once magic loop.

I did a search for this very subject !

I just knitted a pair of socks on one long circular (via MagicLoop method), and I liked it. Now, I'd like to find a size 1 and a size 2 circular. I'm looking at the KnitPicks classics, and wondering if I will have trouble with the nickel plating wearing off (my hands sweat during this weather.........heck my 'everything' sweats at 100 degrees !)

Anyone had their classics for quite a while so that they would know if the plating comes off?

And, I'm surprised to hear that there's room for TWO socks at once on the 32 inch. I thought I'd have to find something in 40 inch to do two at once !

After using my knitpicks for a while, I've noticed a discoloring on some of them...I think it's a reaction with my skin, but I've read it doesn't happen to everyone. I also read that a little silver polish, or something similar, will clean them right up again. I don't think the plating actually comes OFF, though.

I made my first sock on Addi turbo's and thought they were great (size 2 40") I can see that 32" would be fine, so I ordered KP's size 1 for my next socks. Unfortunately, I can't knit right now b/c of problems with my hands, :wall:so when I can knit again, I'll let you know how they compare.

I have both Addis and the KP Classics and they are equally nice (IMO) and the KP's are alot cheaper ;)

I've used all 3....hands down 2-24" Options win, win, win! And now they have the new size 1 & 2's in (well, they are never in stock when i have the $ to order 4 or each...but that's a good thing that they have all the sizes...sometimes, LOL!)

Oh My!! I'm so excited! I just popped over to KnitPicks and they had the 2.75 mm size 2s so I got the 4 I needed!

I'm a die-hard 16" Addi user :) ...but the Options are nice in a pinch. Really, hard to go wrong wither way, IMHO

All are excellent choices. I have complete sets of every one of those brands, but I have the coated Inox, with the bent join, so that wouldn't be recommendable for sock knitting, so I'd say go with Addis or Options.

I have size 3 and 4 Addis with a long cord for sock knitting. (smaller and they'd take too long for me) The Addis are my favorite.

Which one of the brands DO NOT GET TANGLED UP?

Well, I really love using the Knitpicks Classic Circs for my socks. I just started two at once toe up on my 32 inch size 1. CRAZINESS I know, but I was desperate and I love working with these needles so much now. I wish they had longer lengths though.
The cable is so very flexible. So personally if I have to recommend one it would be that. I think the Addis would be my second choice.

I'm really loving the new Addi lace needles. Ultra flexible cords and a little stickyness in the metal for those of us who aren't fond of the yarn flying of the needles at inconvenient times.
