View Full Version : Slightly confused about slippers

I'm working on some bunny slippers (pattern here: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectsheet?pid=e03952&categoryid=32 ) and I thought I was doing ok until I got to the row that says

K2. (P1. K1) 4 (5-5) times. K7 (9-9). (P1. K1) 4 (5-5) times K1.

Presumably some of the instructions in parenthesis are for the different sizes, but, does 'K2' get repeated 4 times (for the smallest size)? and then what about the last instruction when there isn't a stitch listed outside the parentheses to repeat 4 times?

Can anyone help me make sense of this? Thanks.

I've emboldened the instructions for the smallest size to help you out. Ignore the other numbers if this is the size you are making.

You will not k2 4 times but P1, K1 4 times so it will go like this:

K2, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, K7, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1, K1.

Does that help?

Yes! Thank you. (I usually do ok with patterns, but there were a few too many parentheses in this one...they really should have used brackets somewhere to differentiate)
