I would like to say a big hello to everyone, Im new here ..and pretty new at knitting, just found this forum and would like to ask a question about a pattern .

does this pattern have to be made on circular needles?

and what does ''staggering patt at centre '' it's written where it says Ajouré patt

last question from what i gather, the top (lace pattern) is done when the front and back are finished, and its done all at once around?? Ive confused myself now haha
