There are several great knitting shops in Atlanta. You can do the search and find them. Check out Knitch in Virginia-Highliands, though. They have a great shop, great yarn, and I always wanted to go to knitting classes/groups there, but didn't get a chance. Now I'm lonely in Hattiesburg, MS! Enjoy Atlanta!

Hey! Yep, that's me, the knit witch! I AM in Atlanta, GA and I second the motion about checking out Knitch in VA Highland. They are the store that sponsored the Yarn Harlot event back in September. THAT was a good time!!

I live in Canton so count myself as "one of you"; however I've been working in Los Angeles for the last 15 months (3 more months to go) and spend more nights there per week than I do at home. I guess I don't really fit in anywhere right now? Anyone get together on Fridays or Saturdays - OK I know those are strange days for get togethers, but those are the only full days that I'm home each week.

I am taking a knitting class at Knitch and have learned so much. I highly recommend Knitch; what a beautiful yarn selection!

I didn't realize knitting would be such an addictive and expensive hobby:inlove:

Hi, My name is Jody & I am from Powder Springs. A year ago a friend and I started, well, really carried over our Thursday night knitting group from our LYS on the Marietta Square that closed. We now meet on Monday evenings starting at 6pm at Winian's Coffee shop also located on the Marietta Square. We all started out at the Purly Gates and were very sad :waah: when it had to close it's doors in May of 2007 and didn't want to lose the friendships that we had developed there through our knitting. We just moved it to another night & another location. If you are looking for a group that serves the Marietta/West Cobb/Hiram area join us on Monday's for knitting & of course a lot of talking! We start at 6pm & do have a $1 donation fee if you choose not to purchase anything from the shop. This donation is then donated to the shop that is owned & run by local fireman for Cobb County & Marietta City.

We would love to see some new faces there!

Go to The Whole Nine Yarns in Woodstock, GA. Debbie and her staff are very helpful and the selection is great. I've been to Cast-On Cottage in Roswell but didn't find them very friendly.

I now live in Coldspring, TX which has a population of 700 and no yarn stores.

Looking for other knitters in the West Cobb/Paulding Co. area who would be interested in starting up a Knitting group over this way in Powder Springs/Hiram area.
