The pattern for this blanket is thanks to melissa.atkins. A while ago she posted a picture of the blanket she was making, and I really liked it. She gave me the pattern, and I am in the process of making one. I'm about 37 rows short of being done, and I have to say I love it. The pictures aren't that good, and that's my bad. I'll try to post more when it's done.

It's Bernat Softee, double stranded on 10.5 addis.

Here is my Irish Hiking scarf. Again the picture isn't the best, (I'm just learning my digital camera that I got four days ago, wooo hooo!!)

Thanks. I just realized I forgot to say I was knitting the scarf in Paton's SWS. It's really coming out nicely. It's for a charity event that will be raising money for a prison ministry called Kairos.

BTW Jan, I love your quote. And if you ever need cat hair to finish a project....I've got some for ya. :teehee:

Your cables in both projects are quite nice!

Love the yarn you are using for the scarf. Beautiful colors!

I have another scarf I'm making out of SWS (it's pink and beige) that looks awsome. When I get home tonight I will get a picture of it, I think you'll like that one too. SWS really does look different when you knit it up then it does in the skein. I've only made a few thing with SWS, but they always look nice.

But like I said I'll try to get some pictures tonight and post them for you.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. It's really nice when people who's knitting you've seen and admired tell you your knitting looks nice. It makes me feel really good!! [/quote]

That's a gorgeous scarf, and a beautiful baby blanket! The blanket pattern's going in my "future projects" pile. I do have one question (I think I know the answer but don't want to assume) about the pattern -- in rows 2, 4, and 8 shouldn't the very first instruction be k2 instead of l2?

Thanks!

yes in fact it should.

I will edit my post to make the correction. Good catch.

Here is a picture of the other SWS scarf I am making. I folded it so that you can see both sides, as the pattern is different.

Also here is another scarf that I am making out of Caron Simply Soft.
