Beautiful! For the shawl, did you just wing it or is there actually a pattern from Knit Picks?

The Shawl is from the Knit Picks Free Patterns. It took about three weeks I think. It's really easy because the pattern is only 4 rows and you don't have to keep looking at the pattern you remember it.

The Chunky Cable Purse is really easy and fun, it takes about a day if you're a fast knitter and just knit all day, mine actually took 1 1/2 days. The lining is actually a bandana from Hobby Lobby and one lined two of these Purses. Don't be scared about the cables, I thought cables would be hard cause they look hard but they are really easy and this is a great pattern because it's small and has large cables and small cables for you to learn on. Trust me, I'm a nervous knitter, I always print patterns that I like then put them off cause I don't think I can knit them and when I finally try they are never has hard as I think they are.

I avoid DPN patterns at all cost cause I just think it looks to confusing with all those needles sticking out, I can knit in the round with circular needles but was always afraid to try DPN's. the Trio Bag needed DPN's when you start decreasing and it gets to small for the circular so I finally had to use the DPN's I bought ages ago and guess what, yeah, it was a bit hard at first, but once I got the hang of it, girl you should have seen me working those DPN's.

I remember someone on this board telling someone not to be afraid to try something, cause what's the worse that could happen, you never know unless you try. So just go for it. :happydance:
