I am a brand new knitter. So far I've only knit a "dishcloth" and I'm currently working on a garter stitch scarf and the MSC Scarf. What I'm wanting to make is a simple cardigan to keep around the office because with the air on it can get a little cold. I have looked at some patterns, but I don't know what would be good for my very little knitting experience. What do you suggest?

Well, I'd say something that doesn't require seaming..so a raglan. Look up raglan cardigans.
This place has mostly easy, well written patterns.

Knitting Pattern Central (http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com) has lots of patterns including some raglans. Look for words like simple or easy.

If you can knit and purl you can do almost anything though. ;)

I wonder if you'd like the Sonnet? If you go to Knitty.com you will find the pattern. It's knit side to side, and has a square neckline. I quite like it, so if you knit it, let me see a photo! samm
