I have been working on blanket squares to put together, checker boards and a skull print squares. I have a bag that i keep my current projects in. I was laying down and my sister was on the floor. The next thing I know she has a pair of 5 pink knitting needles. I thought that is odd those look like- OMG...she pulled out the needles out my current project and in the process pull one of the squares half out and the links from one color to another is all over the place. i am not sure, some may colors may on the 53 line..some may be on the 54 line. I really really want to cry.

i am a slow knitter w/ a busy scheduled (I am graduating from college in may) so it took me forever to get that far.

well all i wanted to do is share my misery to those who appreciate it.

that's terrible... You said it's checkerboard, right?

I think you should to be able to put your needles back in. Just pick a row(probably 53) and then you should be able to use your checkerboard to count back up. say your last major color change was 15 rows back. for every color change in row 53, go back to your last color change and count 15 rows up.

I hope it works for you!!!

I understand your pain. My grandsons love to sword fight with my knitting needles. Good luck getting everything back in order.

Oh man! I feel your pain too, I can't even count how many times my son has decided it would be fun to pull my needles out of my work! I do have a pattern for a straight jacket, from the Naughty Needles book that you could probably adjust so it fits your sister...hahaha...Good luck getting it back together!

That sucks!

last night, my cat chewed my yarn in half just as I was turning the heel on my sock!

I hope you can get them in without having to frog. Sisters (and brothers and cats and dogs ) can be like that sometimes (actually, a lot of times). I know what you feel like...I have a 12 year old brother and a hyper dog. They haven't messed with my knitting so far, but it shouldn't be too long befoer they do. Sometimes they just make you feel like :!!!: :tap: :grrr: :gah: , but eventually they will behave. Just hang in there!
