and Peaches and Cream....have any of you made this? I saw it yesterday while surfing......came home and I do indeed have the pattern! It looks fun! Unfortunately I am going to have to stop at Wal-farts to pick up some plain color yarns for contrast - I have lots of the variegated, but nothing that will provide the right contrast.

I have made several. You can use any cotton, sugar and cream and lion brand too. I have also made them with varigated yarn- just use a solid for the back color and a coordinated varigated for the wide stripes or "bricks". Also when making this remember to not cut the yarn when switching colors but carrry it up the Right side of the work. They are fun to make and nice and thick.

I've made quite a few now. They are fun to make and everyone always thinks they are harder than they actually are! One thing i would recommend is doing an applied i cord for the edges which can look a little messy. I found this entry called tidy edges (http://masondixonkal.blogspot.com/2006/08/tidying-up-edges.html) on the mason dixon blog and it has forever changed the look of my ballbands. I won't make one now with it!

I've made these to give to my sisters for gifts, and they LOVED them. I had lots of fun making them.

I am making one right now, but I liked it so much I'm making it into a dish towel as opposed to a smaller cloth. Here (http://letah75.blogspot.com/2007/04/nothing-much-to-say.html) is a picture of it. They are super easy to make, I love it.
