Thanks to the amazingly helpful videos Amy has on this site, I have finished my first item of clothing. And many thanks to the help from this forum too :notworthy:
I have made a childs cardigan using Sirdar Surfer in pink. I got the pattern from a magazine. It has been done in garter stitch, with every third row winding the yarn twice round the needle which is dropped on the fourth row so there are long stitches. I have to say I am really pleased with the result :happydance:
OK, hope the pictures work...

Very pretty and lovely colour. Any little girl would love it. My eyes are a bit dodgy in small details on pix but do those ribbons on the right side of the pic (left side of garment) loop into something on the other side to tie or are they decorative only? I love seeing simple designs turn out so effectively.

Thank you for your lovely comments :muah:
The long bits are through the two buttons - after sewing them I left long dangling ends, they look nice. I am sending it to my sister with extra yarn so my mum can crochet the button loops. I have only just mastered knitting, so the thought of learning to crochet just to do the loops was just too much!!
I got the pattern from a magazine called knit today, its March's issue.

KnittingNora. Ah..I love that notion of the ribbons coming through the buttons. Lovely to have crocheted button loops. I would need someone to do that also!. I note you are in Singapore..have you been to any of the film festival showings?
