Six of my friends are graduating college this year (I'm only a junior). I want to knit each of them a little something, and I need to do it quickly because I don't have much time (and I still have loads of homework).

I was thinking of what I can knit quickly. Change purses? Little knit flowers? Neither of those was really appealing to me. Does anybody else have some ideas?

Thanks!
Rebecca

If they have mobiles what about a mobile cover? Or wrist bands, Ipod cover, bookmark?

Where are they going to school? If you got some chunky yarn in their school colors, you could do a quick hat that would be lovely for walking between classes in cold months, if they're going to school in a cold area. Alternatively, do the same thing in your HS colors.

When I was a junior two of my friends graduated and I made them each a blanket in our HS colors. On the back I put a big letter for our school, and had each of our group of friends write a personal note, and embroidered it (each person did a little bit of embroidery on the note they wrote, but I finished them). We were in band so on the front I sewed on the instrument that they each played. This is more effort than you want to put in, but just an example of making something heartfelt... it really wasn't that complex a project for me, since I only had two to make.

Congratulations to your friends, graduation is a huge step.

My sister is graduating too! I am making her this cute little bag. I made one for myself and it went by really fast!

If you want something really small, you could create individualized business card cases in colors that remind ou of each of them.

Another option is to get some REALLY BIG needles and create afghans for each of them in your school colors or colors the will love.

You could knit little coffee cup cozies, and use intarsia to put words on them. Like the year they graduated, or the school name, or their name. You could use the school colors even.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

I think that I have finally chosen. I followed the link katiebug posted and actually found another pattern on that site that I like.

It is a mini-sweater! I might attatch it to a thin piece of wood or posterboard to make a bookmark, or I may make it an ornament as the pattern suggests.

Thanks again! You guys are always helpful!
