View Full Version : Cascade Dolce vs. KP Andean Silk

About a month ago I bought some very lovely Cascade Dolce. I am currently making a pair of Dashing Fingerless gloves out of it and I really, really like it. It is soft, and warm, and has a bit of sheen. It has a delicate fuzz to it.
But I notice that it is very similar in fiber content to Andean Silk at Knit Picks. Has anyone used both? Do they feel the same? Similar guage? Could I use my left over Dolce with some Andean Silk like with stripes or something and not have noticeable differences?
Andean Silk is also less expensive if I wanted to use this sort of yarn for a whole sweater or something, so I'm very curious about the similarity. The Cascade Dolce is lovely to work with, however, and I don't regret the purchase at all.

So, if anyone can comment on this I'd appreciate it.
