I have two store-bought sweaters at home that I LOVE the colors of- but don't really wear them very often. One is a weird shape, and the other is getting a hole in the shoulder. I thought of unraveling them and making new sweaters out of them, but I don't really know where to start! I'm sure someone on this board has done this before- any pointers? Thanks! :)

Lots of tutes on this online. And search this forum and Craftster. Basically you want the sweaters to be knitted in separate pieces and seamed together, not cut from knitted fabric. If the latter then you will only get many short bits. And wind/hank it as you go or you may get a HUGE tangle. Good luck

I'm so glad someone asked and someone answered! I have a black cashmere sweater that has three holes in it, and I want to do the same thing with it.

I'm also glad that this was asked and answered. I have a large throw that I'd love to recycle in to something we could actually use.
