I decided I needed to make my Mom a Booga bag for Mother's Day since I knew I could finish it pretty quickly, even though I'm a slooooow newbie knitter. I started it last Thursday night and finished on Tuesday! It's now felted and wrapped to be gifted today :happydance:

It shrunk a bit more than I was hoping for, but I don't mind as it made SUCH a sturdy fabric. I used Patons Classic Merino for the base and bottom section and switched over to the SWS for the remainder of the bag. Once it was felted and I was blocking it, I decided to make it into more of a little tote, so I sort of fluted the edges a little bit while wet and used different handles insteado of the i-cord. I hope she loves it! She pretty much lives in khaki, denim and shades of blue, so the colors should work for her.

Here is the unfelted version. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v108/Brandilyne/mothersdayboogaunfeltedwithaiken.jpg) Ignore my dog's head trying to get in on the picture taking fun at the bottom of the picture :)

And here it is felted last night! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v108/Brandilyne/mothersdayboogafelted.jpg)
