Non-original, Original Summer Sweater

So when is a sweater an original design vs. a tweaking of a pattern? I ask because I just finished a sweater that is sort of a combo of two sweaters. I've used the measurements and general style from the top of the Simple Knitted Bodice and for the bottom, I used a stitch pattern that I did on a child's cardigan (Tater's Cotton Cardi). Here's is the result (sorry the photo is so large I can't seem to make it smaller):

Great job! I've done similar with taking parts of patterns and incorporating them into my own 'design.' Sweater looks comfy, easy to wear.
