What a coincidence -- I've been looking at white sock yarn for the last week, because I want to knit my daughter socks for school. (Long story, she gets really irritated by storebought socks!) Here are the ones I've found...

Cascade Fixation (http://www.simplysockyarn.com/Detail.bok?no=38)

Lang Jawoll Cotton (http://www.simplysockyarn.com/Detail.bok?no=748)

Lang Jawoll Solid (http://www.simplysockyarn.com/Detail.bok?no=155)

Meilenweit Cotton (http://www.simplysockyarn.com/Detail.bok?no=813)

I'd love to make some with Baby Cashmerino, but I'm afraid they wouldn't wear well. They sure would be comfy though! :D

I am doing the Rainy Day sock pattern from Magknits in Louisa Harding Kashmir DK. It comes in white. The lace pattern is very pretty and these knit up super fast.
The yarn is also supposed to be durable do to the microfiber content.

Dale of Norway's Baby Ull is a superwash Merino fingering weight yarn that you could use for socks also:
