Wow, thanks everyone!!!:muah:
The pattern is from Fiber Trends, but you can find a free one here (http://www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/babyafbh.htm) that is very similar. The yarn is...don't read this yarn snobs...Lion Brand Pound of Love. So cheap. Totally washable. It felt & looked even better after being dried in the dryer. Very soft.

Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/Fiber-Trends-Easy-Knit-Baby-Blankets-Pattern-1_W0QQitemZ250100637083QQihZ015QQcategoryZ83930QQr dZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem) is a link to an Ebay listing for the exact Fiber Trends Pattern I used. If you look at the picture on the pattern, it's the dark blue blanket in the top R hand corner above the baby's head. You could barely see it. My only complaint about this pattern is that you are primarily purling. I hate purling.:ick: By you do get very used to it, so it's now that bad.

Love the baby blanket. Your work is exquisite. I have been looking for a pattern like that (although I didn't know it until I saw yours).

Great job! That's my mother's fave color. :) I'm a huge fan of simple but classic detail. (I'm a fellow knitter who's on a tight budget who enjoys seeing others using the less-expensive brands and getting such great results.)

I am making a scarf with that similar stitch pattern. I originally wanted it for a Baby blanket, but didn't have any baby's to knit for. So I stuck with a scarf.

It is essentially just a knit lattice (http://knittingonthenet.com/stitches/knitlattice.htm) pattern. Just increase the stitches and add a border.

I just love it. I am glad to see how nice it is as a blanket! I JUST found out that my cousin and also now my best friend are expecting. Haha, I went from no babies to 2 babies to knit for. How will I ever get it all done.

Beautifully done by the way!:heart::heart:

What an awesome blanket. That is an accomplishment to finish a project like this one. Way to go. It looks beautiful and will be a treasure to the recipient I am sure.
