View Full Version : one skien patterns?

Can anyone recommend a website with free patterns using one skein (or less) of yarn? I have too many balls (all different) yarn, and I'd love some little summer projects to use them for. Thanks!

check the stashbusters thread above- there are tons of cute small projects listed. I think the patterns are scattered all over the 'net- not one coherent site.

there are a couple one skein books you may want to look for at your library or bookstore: One Skein and One Skein Wonders. all projects for small amounts of yarn.

good luck!

I don't know of a website, but in addition to the Stash Buster thread there are a couple books you could check out. Your library might have them, too. I don't have them, but they look neat!

I have a bunch of left over sock yarns and I'm planning on doing one of those mitered square blankets from it. I think this would work well for other scraps too.

I have the book "The One Skein Wonders" and I really LOVE it. It has so many nice projects in it for all skill levels. Its the best one I've seen yet on using one skein. This one has nice hats, scarves, baby sweaters, gloves, socks etc. YOu'll like it.:cheering:
