increasing size on Slouchy Cardigan???

HI! Ok, I've been looking for a pattern for this purple Noro Cash Iroha for months and I think this is it: the Slouchy Cardigan in the Knit Cafe book. It's just my style, very loose and simple, no buttons, a little flared at the bottom and it has a hood too which I like.

Anybody have this book?

So it says medium/large is 34" -36" bust. I'm a little bigger, like 38.

I'm increasing from their size 8 needle up to a 9 coz my swatch was a tad short but do you think I should add on a few stitches to make it a little bigger? I guess it will be stretchy (silk/wool/cashmere/nylon) but god forbid I don't want it to be too small. And how many stitches extra? It says cast on 88 sts.

Is 4 enough? I never figured that math/swatch thing yet. !

What the number of stitches difference between the sm and the med/lg? You could use that for going up a bit. Or go on up to size 10 needles.
