My LYS is closing. She is going into dying her own yarn. So, bad news over, good news is she is having a half off everything sale. After having a yarngasm I went to her store...Needless to say I bought lots of yarn...

Two bags of wool including some Malabrigo...only one pictured here.

Thw seater yarns. At least ten balls of each. Silky Tweed, Cashsoft in two colors, Jeager Merino, Blur, and Jeager Trinity. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/205/515083721_40d4f4d6e7_m.jpg
She was pretty much out of sock yarns. This was all I could come away with...Lorna's Laces in 3 colors, Barefoot, Regia Bamboo, and some wool that I forgot the maker.

Cashmere for lace scarves and I'm not sure what to make with the Hand Maiden cashmere, but I'll think of something.
I'm tired...but must re-organize my stash now. :passedout:
Hope you enjoyed the yarn p0rn.

That is an amazing bunch of yarn and such to pull out of a lys! Shoot, if my lys was having something like that, I'd be on that place like flies on a poopoo platta! :rofling:

I'm worried my lys might do the same. Once this winter I was there and overheard the gals behind the counter making some sort of "dispelling the rumors" sort of conversation. The local paper did a write up of the "craze" and how it's sort of settled into a regular habit again. But then a few months later when I was there last, they had a lot of stuff still on sale and some parts of the store that were low on stuff were still low on stuff. I worry when I see a store not refill a shelf very quickly....:pout:

My LYS is closing due to lagging sales, she's on the road a lot w/ shows, she's starting her own dyed yarn line, and she's exhausted with all of it. I don't see how she's been doing it and keeping up with her family.

It's a once in a life time type of opportunity ya know...I mean 50% off everything in the store!! I'm a bargin hunter so it got the best of me. I bought yarn that I would normally never buy.

Sorry...it is an instore only sale. No internet or phone orders accepted. http://yarnsforever.com/ But you can look at her website.

I did a little story on my blog. My first project from this haul is a lace cashmere scarf.

LYS closing is bad, but there's always a silver lining.
