lotus blossom tank - bamboo vs. cotton

I got some elsebeth lavold cotton patine hugely on sale and was thinking I could use it to make the tank on this page (http://www.interweaveknits.com/preview/2006_summer.asp), but then was wondering if it would drape ok or stretch too much?

has anyone knit something like this with either or both? do you think it would work?

I'm interested too. Cute top! I'm looking for something to knit in cotton or at least light for summer, but I'm new at knitting, so I'm not sure what to do next.

First I need a pattern...........:think: but it MUST be cotton for me, it's too hot otherwise!
