Intarsia Question

I'm wondering about following a chart for intarsia knitting. I get how to change colors of yarn working right to left for the first row, on the knit side............but when I am purling back across the row to I follow the next row on the chart or repeat the same color changes I did on the knit side, and then go to the second row when I start the next knit row??????

You work the second row reading the chart from left to right. Each row only gets used once.

Yes, and the key should tell you what each symbol means as a function of which side you're knitting.
