I recently bought a new book entitled "The Ultimate Sourcebook for Knitting and Crochet Stitches" by Reader's Digest. While looking through, I noticed that in the "edges" section, it talks about binding on. I thought maybe they meant binding off, but the patterns say things like bind on 2 then bind off 2. What does this mean? Is it the same thing as casting on? Thank you for any help you can give me.

I've never heard it like that, but it does sound like CO. Does it say it in a place where CO would make sense?

Well if you can cast off sts as well as bind off, I'd think you can bind them on as well as cast them on....

Thank you guys, I will have to try it replacing the bind on with cast on and see if it works.

I came across this in a book today, but it explained it: "bind on" in some countries is the same as "Cast on" in others. The book said also that in some areas instead of "bind off" they use the term "cast off"
