View Full Version : Size 17, 17" straight needles???

I am just about done with a cabled project bag. It's done in very chunky yarn and it's quite big. I did it in bright teal to brighten my day!

But..for the handles, you are simply supposed to slip knitting needles through two flaps. I thought it was the cutest idea. It suggests size 17, 17" straight needles. I can't find anything close. Of course, I am looking for "pretty" needles since I put a lot of time into the bag. I may need to give up and go basic. Does anybody have a source for these bigger needles?

Thanks so much,

Size 17 needles, 17 inches long?? That's not a knitting needle, it's a lance!

Check out froogle.google.com; that always works for me! I took a quick look and found clover brand 16" needles at yarn.com and jo-ann fabric (they're cheaper here, though).
