I've reached what is supposed to be the halfway point :woohoo: , but, it seems to be too short for how wide it is.........do you know what I mean? I'm wondering if anyone else who has knitted this, decided to knit an extra 12 row repeat :hair: ?

If you have pictures of yours, please share..........I'm scared to death of the idea of 'seaming'........I usually avoid it like the plague.

here is the link to the threaad of my finished cable purse/bag. it is in the What'cha knitting section mow on page 3. I agree that it is hard to notice the v's and bumps especially on the cables. I had to work the pattern backwards for about 6 rows before i could start to recognise which stitches were which. By the end I was an old pro. I never had the feel ing like the bag was going to be too short halfway through. Also, about seaming, I was terrified of seaming too. everything I have ever tried to seam turned out OK, not great. I watched the video on here about seaming. I think it is called mattress stitch. Mine turned out Wonderful! I couldn't be happier!

Your "bag" looks great so far. i thought it was fun to knit. can't wait to see the final version.
