View Full Version : WIP Silver's Palindrome Hat

I'm working on the Palindrome hat to match my Irish Hiking Scarf. It's still early in to it but it's coming along. I think the cables will look better once there is more of it so that it isn't so stretched. (I hope)

I love the colors! It's coming along nicely! I hope to do the hat and scarf for myself after my christmas knitting is done!

I didn't realize there was a hat pattern to go with the Palindrome scarf, but it will look great with the IHS too. Love that yarn! I'd love to see a pic of you modeling both when it's done!

I've made a little more progress on it. Darned housework and laundry are taking up some of my knitting time

OK, I'm also reallllllly slow.

Very nice!

[I agree about that house work...and occassionally I say that about home schooling too...]

this is tempting me to change a planned knitting project and switch to this pattern too...

Hi Mason I think it will look just fine...It's difficult to tell when you first start.
I have just bought the yarn for the Irish Hiking scarf and hat and I am really looking forward to starting it. x

I SERIOUSLY love the colors in this yarn!! You're doing a fabulous job on the cables. I can't wait to see the finished results. and i'm casting my vote on you modeling it with the scarf as well.

Looking good, Mason.

I'm slow, too. I tell myself though that it's the PROCESS I enjoy most, so why rush it?! ;-)

I am a new knitter and would like to make my first sweater, but I can't wear wool. What kind of yarn can I use substitute. The pattern calls for 90% marin wool/ 10% nylon.
Thank you to all that answers

It's gorgeous!! IS the pattern available online?

Great job Mason. I am sure you will look quite dashing in it. While other men are rushing off to the stores come winter to get their winter gear, you can smile and say "I made this myself". My hat is off to you! Keep up the good work.
