I use FastStone Capture (http://www.faststone.org/FSCaptureDetail.htm). It's awesome! After installation you just hit "print screen" and it pops up the program. It's neat because you can capture anything and resize, etc.

If you're just asking how to do a screenshot, that's an easy fix. There should be a button on the top right of your keyboard, close to the F12 key, that say "Prt Scr/SysRq." If you push this button, go to a word document (or wherever you want to paste your screenshot) and paste, you'll have a screenshot of your whole screen. If you just want the spreadsheet, click on the spreadsheet, hold down Alt and hit the Prt Scr key. Voila!

Hope that helps.

If you press Alt-Prnt Screen, you will capture only the active window. Ctrl-Prnt Screen captures the entire desktop (it will show all windows open on your screen).

I have open office on my pc, its free to download and has a spreadsheet application, just as an alternative if you get sick of screenshots.

You don't have to have Excel to view a spreadsheet. Just download the free excel viewer. (http://www.download.com/Excel-Viewer-2003/3000-2064_4-10751303.html?tag=lst-0-4)

I also use OpenOffice and find it to be an excellent office suit. Free is good.

And if you actually need to work with a spreadsheet (or other documents) you can do it in Google Docs (https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=writely&passive=true&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2F&followup=http%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2F&ltmpl=homepage&nui=1). It is great. I don't have excel or anything and I use it all the time.

OpenOffice works with Excel formats as well as most others.
