View Full Version : Plus size "school" vest

I made this for my sister for her birthday the day after Christmas. She is a plus size lady so it is hard sometimes to find things that are comfortable to sit at a desk all day. She is very short so it makes a regular sweater almost an impossibility to make as a surprise. The school theme is because she works for her local school system. You can't see the buttons so I took pics of them as well. The apples are on the pockets and the schoolhouse is the closure.

What a lovely gift! My aunt is a just retired teacher and she had several school sweaters, they usually had themes. The kids love them!

Thanks to everyone. A lot of you said how thoughtful it was, but I imagine sooner or later my family is going to get sick of getting knitting from me! I keep finding things to make! I guess when you have only time on your hands you have to fill it with something so why not knit!!!:woot:
