I meant to say before too thank you so much for the yarn... I KNOW we can use it! I love the color! :inlove:

How much does Red Heart Super Saver soften after you wash it? I have some rainbow yarn in that, but it's awful feeling. I don't mind crocheting with it just to make a simple border (I'm thinking sc or dc once around) but I don't want it to be rough. I have to go get yarn for a baby gift anyway so I can look then. Thoughts? (and buying more yarn is NOT a problem :teehee: )

Red Heart isnt too bad now a days. I've got a afghan made for the 80's version and it still scratchy but softer. Today's read heart is MUCH softer feeling and softens up when washed. I made a pair of socks from it and they feel fine against the feet

I have some worsted weight yarn I'd like to give away to any Oddball Baby Blanket knitter. If you are interested, please send me a pm. Thanks!

Our blankets are coming along very well! :cheering:

Before too long, our blankets will be complete, and we will all be able to concentrate on making blankets for our separate regions.

Thank you all so much for your hard work and dedication to our project.
 :muah:

Today, I received the SWEETEST gift from gmmarton. She wanted to thank me for my work on the Oddball projects. She sent the CUTEST card with Snoopy (from "Charlie Brown") on the front. How did you know that Snoopy is my favorite?

In the card, she included a giftcard to Barnes & Noble! :cheering:

Tonight, I took the giftcard to B&N and found a knitting book I've been wanting for a LONG time. Thank you so much, gmmarton!

I just want to thank all that have participated in the blankets. The beauty of these blankets are so inspiring. The hours of work, the fiancial costs, I am humbled at the love in them.
I am so glad these gifts, the blankets will now be spread all over our Nation. An act of kindness will never be forgotten.
One small blankets makes a difference, and as knitters we do make that difference.
Again, thank you to all who have helped give the hospital here some of the love and kindness that will make a difference.

Big Bear Hugs to all of you....

I'm sorry :aww: I forgot to take a pciture of pastel rainbows before I packed it up. It left yesterday, but it looks great! Sorry!

But I do have a pic of Happy Bluebirds. The ruffle border too ma a LONG time because I'm a VERY slow crocheter. But I think it was well worth my time!

Hi Everyone!

Oh wow, Happy Bluebirds is just beautiful!:yay: (and happy:teehee: ) I think the ruffled border was well worth it as well-it is a perfect color choice as well! Yay for all the knitters on that blanket:hug:

Its kind of sad to see how we're all filtering into our different region-groups... I know that more blankets will get done this way and its much much better for Ms. Sandy (bless her heart!! ) but still... for those of you who I dont get to talk to again, thank you SO much for knitting with me the short time i've been here.... It was lovely to meet all of you and it has been such a blessing to chat and be around all of you:hug: Thank you!

Shandeh,

I have Fruit Stripes done but I am waiting on Pastel Rainbow to send them both to Snowbear at the same. Time if that is okay? That will save on packaging and maybe a little postage and since they will both be finished I didn't see the harm. Let me know if you want them sent separately.

I will send a pic of Fruit Stripes as soon as I can.

wow! I received a package from HollP and it had 3 blankets in it.. They are beautiful! Red roses.. awesome... Speed Racers, i've got to do one similar for my grandson, and Rainbow JoY2. so special.

They show the beauty and love that all of you included in your knitting. They are just beautiful.

I have so many ideas to make into blankets,, as I have a new grandchild on the way! So light weight blankets are being planned as daughter and her family will be moving to Hawaii for the next 3 years.. So new baby blankets will be planned with some of the beautiful patterns you all have knitted!

Hugs

I even got a handknit dishcloth from onb4050!

I remember when this blanket was first started by Ladylou not that long ago. Neat!

I made the card to go with the blanket, and it has survived all the travelling with the blanket very well. I just looked online for a pretty picture to represent "Fairy Land", and printed it on blank cardstock. I'm so glad that everyone signed it!

Believe it or not, our Oddball Baby Blankets are almost all complete! :cheering:

These blankets are getting their border added:
Just Ducky, Fruit Stripes, Sunshine Punch, Rainbow Blocks, and Pastel Rainbow

And these are getting their last section knitted, before going to get their border added:
Pink Power, Wildflowers, and Fairy Land

Not far to go!

Snowbear has received 26 blankets, and two others are on their way to her now.

When we finish the others, we will have given 36 handknit blankets to Children's Mercy Hospital! :woohoo:

wow,

I am just thinking of all the love all those families have received. It is such a warm gester to give something comforting, and what better than a baby blanket.

I know when this ends.. it is being replaced by more love for others everywhere. There are a few of my co workers who have started some blankets. So the pebble continues to touch lives as the love moves to others.

I can't wait to deliver the next basket of blankets.. It is such a humbling exciting experience.

Thanks so much...
