So my tomatoes sucked this year. With the lack of rain we've had, everything sucked gardening wise.

So I had cut down my tomato plants and from the bottom new ones are growing. My Mom said that last winter she grew her tomatoes indoors.

Anyone done this? How do I 'pollinate' the flowers so they turn into tomatoes?

What have you grown indoors over the winter?

Well up here I have already moved my basil and thyme in to the house. I am not good with house plants but these seem to be thriving. I love fresh herbs so I am encouraged. If I could figure out what to grow in the house here I would be thrilled; our growing season is so short.

We've always grown tomatoes in the screened in patio. Just fill a five gallon paint bucket with potting soil but make sure to drill drain holes. All you have to do to pollinate them is shake the plants.
Our growing season is just starting here. During the summer stuff bursts into flames due to the intense heat and sun so our season starts in October. :cheering:
