This is my first attempt at a sweater of any kind, hehe! I'm sooooo excited to have finished this for a baby shower in a couple days. I found the pattern for it on Ravelry, designed by fawn pea. It is a top-down raglan sleeve cardigan.
Here are some pics!
The first shows the button band and front striping detail. suzeeq and brittyknits helped me a good deal on the button band which was intimidating for me. The second shows my daughter's Pooh wearing the cardi, hehe! Couldn't resist. I did have to frog one of the sleeves as it was 2 rows to short.
The yarn is Caron Simply Soft in Gray Heather, Black and Autumn Red. This is for a boy. :D Working with this yarn was ok, the only problem I had was with flaws in the gray heather yarn. I had to cut out several sections of the working yarn and weave in the ends. This made me less than happy, but I like the softness of the FO.
All in all it was a blast to knit, and quick to do. :woohoo:
ps. this is the first time I'm posting pics online, lol! Thanks to my dh who showed me how, there's no stopping me now!
