View Full Version : Help Me Find a Pattern....

For my Tilli Tomas! :inlove:

I have 120 yds of "Simply Heaven"--a spun silk yarn with a suggested gauge of 4 sts per inch on size 10 needles, but it doesn't look or feel "bulky." And it's the "American Beauty" color, a rich deep garnet.

So...any suggestions? I want a pattern that will use this yarn to it's full advantage (this may be the most expensive single skein I've ever purchased).

Ideally I'm imagining something in the lingerie category. If I can find a feasible pattern for some cute "boyshorts" type panties I would absolutely die and go to heaven (first picking up more yarn if need be). I feel like I've seen such patterns but now can't seem to come across them. Even something with a general idea would be good and I can fiddle things to get them how I want.

Link away! :muah:

Knitpicks has a boxer briefs pattern in their free patterns. Don't know if that's what you're thinking of...

These (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer04/PATTpetitchou.html) are cute from Knitty. You could just make the bottoms. So cute!

Not sure if you have the Knitting Lingerie Style book or not. There are some boy shorts (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gracefully-gathered-halter-top-and-boy-short) in there. I'm not sure of the necessary yardage. Ravelry only shows the combined yardage. I would imagine what you have would be enough. I think they are super cute!

Just a couple ideas.
