Hi everyone, I just joined :waving: I think this site/forum is great :) I've been crocheting for a while, although nothing more than a few scarves and the odd baby blanket a year. I know how to follow patterns and abbreviations to an extent but not too much. Well I was browsing the Lionbrand website and found this cute shawl that I wanted to start. The only problem is, is that I don't understand a part of the pattern.

Ch 3, join with slip st in first ch to form a ring.
Row 1: Ch 3 (does not count as dc), 10 dc in ring, do not join.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in next dc, 2 dc in each dc across 19 sts.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in next dc, (ch 2, sk next 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc) across 6 ch-2 sp.

I get row 1,2, & most of three except for the last part I'm not exactly sure what to do, or what it means. please help thank you :)

That bolded part just means that when you're done with row 3 you should have 6 chain-2 spaces in your row (plus all the double crochets).
