It looks so beautiful there! I almost expect the camera to pan in find some princess sitting on the edge of a window. May I ask what attracted you to take a vacation in Slovenia?

Slovenia is bordered by Italy, Austria, HUngary, and Croatia. I have a friend in the foreign service who was stationed there for three years. Beautiful country -- I'm sad we never got to visit!

Slovenia is gorgeous! I'll have to look for your other post to find out if you were in the Lake Bled/Bohinjska area. I went there about 4 years ago and was just amazed! I never would've thought of Slovenia as a travel destination, but it was such a treat to end up there!

I am enjoying knitting here and have already made some knitting friends. Just finished a pair of hand warmers and a fluffy scarf. I decided to do one long rectangle of light blue followed by the long rectangle of soft white. (not your usual block by block of colors). So far, have had good response from the locals. I took this shot on my patio so you could see a little of the architecture behind my house and the small cars.

When I saw the title of this thread I just couldn't believe my eyes: Slovenia, this little country where I come from, mentioned here on KH forum - I never would have thought!

I'm so glad you like it here. Enjoy your stay!

I met some Americans here, who invited me to celebrate Thanksgiving day with them. We had all the trimmings, including cranberry sauce (from Austria), pumpkin pie (smuggled in filling from Aviano :)), and a local turkey.
Thought you would enjoy the turkey's photo!
