Thanks everyone!!
I think this is the perfect pattern to try colorwork in socks...you are using a sport weight yarn and larger needles... so it goes faster...you are also just dealing with the snowflake chart...Usually I carry both yarns in my left hand and I really have to watch the tightness of the sock...this time I made myself carry the yarn in the right/left hand...I didn't have any trouble with the socks being to tight and not wanting to go on...it was also faster for me...(prolly cause I didn't have to keep ripping the sock back so I could wear it :teehee: )
Here is (http://www.philosopherswool.com/Pages/Streamingvideo.htm)a helpful site on that...

Great job, and Great colors. I don't think I would tackle them. I haven't done socks in 43 years. They were the first things I knitted. I'm sticking to simple these days. LAZZZZZY me.

I have to repeat what everyone else has said ... "WOW!" I can't imagine doing a project this intricate right now. Maybe one day I'll decide to try something like this. They are so beautiful, I think I'd want to wear them on the outside of my pants so everyone could see them! hmmmm, good thing it's not underwear huh? LOL

:aww: Thank you all!!
One reason I was able to knit them so fast was because of my dh...he knew I had been wanting to make them since I seen the preview...I was getting stressed out cause I was finished with Christmas knitting but some how everyone was asking for something and I was feeling very boxed in :teehee: ...anyways he told me to rip up that two page to do list and knit my snowflake socks...so Saturday he took over the house and I got to sit and just knit my little heart out...without that full day of sock knitting they would prolly still be otn...say yay to dh :happydance:
Wanda~I'll be taking my shoe off and saying see my socks!! :teehee:
I'll be knitting another pair soon for mom...she wants hers blue and white too :happydance:

Have you made socks before? If you have a really think you should try them...that is how I learned... jumped in with both feet doing a pattern called Bird foot last January...with this pattern being on larger needles and using a sport weight you might find it not so bad... if you have any questions just ask...You can do it!!
Thank you for all the wonderful comments :aww:

OK, now I really have to get back to that practice sock. I am so jealous of you guys that turn out such great socks. But seriously, the snowflake socks take the cake.
On a different front, is your name in real life Dustina C.? I kept thinking, what does dust in ac really mean? I meant to ask but kept forgetting. :teehee:

Thank you!! :teehee: yeah my name is Dustina and then my last name starts with C...When I was born my dad was hunting (something I still give him a hard time about) and mom didn't have a name for me...her and the nurse winged the spelling...Didn't care for the name growing up cause I never had nifty stuff with my name on it...but now it's pretty cool...also ever first day teacher (or a sub) would think it was misspelled and would say Christina/Justina here or think the 'a' was silent and I'd then I'd be called Dustin :teehee:
