How do you do a cable or cabled cast on?

There's a vid for cable cast-on in the Video tab at the top of this board. Click on 'Cast-On.'

And it's called that because it looks like a small cable (cord) not because you have to use it to knit cabled things.

Alrighty, now, lemme go look......:think:
Umm hmm, yeah, uh....WHAT TH'?
Knit into slip knot,
ok......
leaving the stitch on the left needle.
yeah.....
Place the new stitch onto left needle,
uh....
by slipping it knit-wise. *Knit into gap between last two stitches on left needle. Place knitted stitch onto left needle by slipping it knit-wise. Repeat from *. Note: you can also place the stitch on the needle purl-wise. The results are virtually identical.
I'm going to have to watch that video again, n agin!

I had to watch it about 5 times, but once I got the hang of it, it's actually really easy. :) Hang in there!

The cable cast on! I watched the English version of the cco video, and it turned a light on!!:woohoo:
