View Full Version : Anyone order trees from ArborDay.org?

My MIL's birthday is coming soon and she is a tree/shrub freak (in a good way) and she is trying to fill an extra lot beside her house with any number of trees so I was thinking for her birthday I would get her a membership to the ArborDay foundation and order her a few trees to add to her lot. I wonder if anyone has ordered from them before and if the trees are pretty hardy...
thank you

We ordered 15 fruit trees about 10 years ago -- the ones that survived the deer, the ice storm and DH's mowing put on great fruit. I don't know if it's the same but they come as STICKS -- really, no bigger around than a dowel rod -- and you have to soak them in water for a couple of days before you plant them. But still a great buy for the price...

I placed an order 4 years ago and everything is doing fine. I got the 10 free spruce trees. They were rooted and are about 3 ft high now. I also ordered some juniper shrubs and they are growing large too. I would love to have an Americal Elm. Ellie
