I have been waiting forEVER to do this scarf. Just couldn't find the right yarn. Went into the LYS a few weeks ago and lo and behold was the exact yarn used in the original pattern. I was SO excited! LOL Anyho, here it is:

I made the same scarf, fun pattern to do, but did not add the fringe. Now I wish I would havethought about it. Looks beautiful, love your colors.

Thanks Wanda - You know, I hadn't planned on adding the fringe but since I had the yarn leftover and didn't know what I'd do with it I thought I'd try it ... and I like it!

I love this scarf! I got some of this yarn in this exact colour for Christmas and I was thinking about making it. How much yarn did you use? I really like the fringe too- nice touch!

I know, isn't this colorway beautiful? It goes with EVERYTHING! LOL I used pretty much all of my 2 hanks, but I also made a simple ribbed headband to go with my scarf. So I used it all. One hank really isn't enough unless you make it quite a bit skinnier.

I have the exact same scarf in that exact yarn only mine doesn't have a fringe. I'm too lazy, but the fringe does make it quite attractive. I love the end result.

As Tim Gunn would say "It's just stunning!" Did you knit into the back loop to make the stitches look twisted like that? Wow, I admire how even your stitches look!! I'm still working on my tension - it's all over the place!

Thanks Laura - the stitch is pretty simple but I had a hard time with the wording until I went to youtube and watched the video on how to do it. The pattern is here (http://www.sheepinthecity.prettyposies.com/archives/000079.html).

Where it says to "knit into the back of the slipped stitch before dropping it off the needle" was confusing to me. After watching the video, I could see that basically all you have to do is a yarn over and pass the slipped stitch over both the knit stitch and the yarnover. The end result is the same and that worked easier for me.
