WOW! That's awesome and just think how much attention you'd get from anyone like me who loves to look at people's knitting! And there's no way you'd get bored knitting it! Thanks for the link, it's in my favs. Mary

That rocks! I'm adding it to my unrealistically long to-do list!

I really like that pattern, but would do the grapes in the same color as the sweater. I actually just knit a hat and scarf set - it was called 'blackberry' and it's pretty much a grape vine as well!
I ended up giving them to my eldest daughter. I just hope she wears them. ;)

I hate to double post, but last night I decided I wanted to start this grapevine sweater. I've got some really soft Bernat Satin in sable just laying around, so I thought I'd put it to use.

Guess how many mistakes I found in the "Leaf and Cable Border" pattern?
mistake on row 2!
mistake on row 18!
then, she just put rows 1-18 in again instead of the flipped cable for rows 19-36! (can you see on the image where the cable is too close together? That's the mistake on row 19 when the pattern said to do another front cable instead of the back cable that it should have been!)
mistake again on row 20! and 36!

Why do I keep getting these patterns with mistakes????

So, anyways, this is how far I got, and I'm now I'm going to start over after re-writing this portion of the pattern.

(BTW, this is just the bottom border of the sweater...... I'm curious to see how many more mistakes there are in this pattern? I"m thinking every 6 rows of doing a 'lifeline')

Not sure if anyone is interested, but here's my progress on this sweater.
(BTW, I emailed back and forth with the creator of the design and offered her my corrections on her pattern - there were 8 all together! Big ones too!)

Such detail! It's going to be beautiful!

Lynn, we're always interested, that's why we come here.

Like Jan said, what detail! Is the designer happy to hear from you when you find her errors?

Can't wait to see the finished sweater.

Interesting, I clicked on the link and the pattern isn't there. Maybe she took it down to make corrections...
