My DH sent this to me today and I thought I would share with my fellow knitters! Enjoy!

UNBELIEVABLE MATH PROBLEM

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you. Personally I would like to know who came up with this and why that person is not running the country.

Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your Head)

1. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the Area code)
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add 1
4. Multiply by 250
5. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
7. Subtract 250
8. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer ??

if you put it this way it doesn't seem so mysterious though, does it?

write the first 3 digits of your phone number followed by 4 zeros.
Add the last 4 digits of your phone number.

And that's what the instructions above basically tell you to do. The rest is just to make it seem like "magic"

I did it twice and came up with nonsense. It is supposed to be my phone number?

I had to do it twice before it worked! I've never been very good at math.
Neat trick though.
