Menopause the Musical

I went to my 1st live show this week with a girlfriend. It was Menopause the musical. It was fabulous! I wasn't expecting it to be near as enjoyable as it was.
If anyone has it playing near them I highly recommend seeing it. In Spokane most of the money from the tickets and from items sold in the lobby were for fundraising. Some for our local theater group and some for women's health research.
The music was wonderful and quite recognizable for those of us in that age group familiar with the symptoms of menopause. I haven't laughed that hard or for so long in years. My friend and I enjoyed the lyrics so much we bought the cd and listened to it all the way home.
There were even a few brave men in the audience and I'm sure they were somewhat bewildered by the raucous crowd of middle aged and older women.

I loved every minute of it and every song! It is a great girls night out!

1) I wish i could fid anything funny about it
2) I wish i could find anything musical about it (no the ringing in my ears does not count)
3) I wish i could afford to go to a show
4) wish i had a wonderful woman to take with me to such a show
5) I wish i lived in a part of the world that such show came to

AND
if wishes were horses, I would make a fortune selling them to the teens around here who need to STOP DRIVING CARS

I'm post menopausal for about 6 months and having been through hot flashes, night sweats, lack of sleep, extreme mood swings, and memory loss, oh and weight gain, I found that watching 4 women on stage who are also of that age and also having lost the battle of the bulge celebrating the passage was very freeing.
I bought the cd and have listened to it several times and it helps knowing you're not the only one going through it. The crowd of over 40 women were rocking the house. It's the best experience I've had in years, being with people who know what you're going through.
