Hey everyone! I've been doing a lot of stash-busting lately, and I love being surrounded by my beautiful yarns :) lol So today I went through EVERYTHING and organized all my yarn and little gadgets - it made me so happy! So here are the results:

Great job! Feels good doesn't it? I love organizing my stash ... then going back through it when looking for something. I love finding balls or skeins I had forgotten about ... it's like Christmas all over again! LOL

It's nice to see your knitting place!

OK, I know this was just an excuse to touch your yarn- I don't have much but "organize" mine over and over.

:roflhard: Just kidding! It really looks nice and easy to find what you need!

What is that gorgeous purple/gray/blue yarn in the basket on the windowsill? :inlove:

Well done Rachel! And very inspiring... I feel a stash and project tidying session coming on over the weekend also...

In deference to my DH's sanity (what's left of it...), my wool stash is kept upstairs. However, with 4 projects OTN at the moment, I cannot bring myself to stash my projects upstairs because I might feel the need to attack one and that means going all the way upstairs to fetch it, and then knowing me - getting sidetracked on the way there or back, and then no knitting being done!

So, down the side of the sofa is looking quite messy at the moment!

Lol... how about having an Organisation KAL?! :roflhard:

OK, yes, i know, it wasn't THAT funny!

Having just sent off three boxes a few weeks ago, the amount I have fits into one medium sized basket. What a great feeling!

Rachel, can you come and organize my crafting area? That I can't seem to get to, too much junk. And you know what Renee said about just 'organizing' so that you can touch it? I agree! I do the same thing.

I don't have a very big stash (fits in 1 large plastic bin), but my DGD loves to organize it for me. She takes out all the yarn and feels of it ant tells me which she like the best then puts all back neatly in the bin. She usually finds a small ball of somethi ng that she wants to knit with. She is 8 and she and her sister are just beginning to knit.

Good job Rachel! I had to sort through my yarn a couple days ago because we're moving and it was so nice to go through it and pet it all and think about what I want to make with it. I use plastic storage bins and labelled them "Acrylic, Blends and Cotton" and "Needles, Patterns and Wool Yarn". I could only flll one of those plastic bins when I moved in September, now I have two....i think my yarn had babies.

Is that what you tell your husband? Mine just shakes his head. But I  him, he brought me some yarn he thought I'd like.

i think my yarn had babies.

Great job! I wish my stash was so small. Well, I almost wish that. LOL Organizing myself seems like such a waste of time, I soon have it all over the place again. I am soooo unorganized. Don't read this ArtLady. LOL You are so organized that I am embarrassed to mention my shortcoming.
