I cannot find any information about this, whether it's a stitch or what, but on my pattern it says it is used to help eliminate holes formed by working short rows. Does this make any sense to anyone? The project is a knitted wool soaker/diaper cover. It is knit flat and will have velcro tabs similar to a disposable diaper. I believe it's talking about the tabs.

Hi Julie,

Can you post a link so that we can see the pattern?

Sometimes when working a short row(s) unintentional/accidental holes may develop along the seam. If you are not familiar with short row shaping (other than for heels on socks) you can Google short row or short row shaping and find several examples. Good luck.
