Hello all, I've been knitting English style for years but am determined to conquer conti knitting. I know you have to put in some serious practice to get good at it so I started a scarf for practice (even if it didn't turn out well). It's really funny looking. Parts of it are about 8 inches wide and it swells in width to about 11 inches of late. I'm hoping this is just part of the learning process. Any pearls of wisdom? Thanks for your help. Merissa :)

Hi Merissa, welcome to Knitting Help! We've had a rather long discussion on this issue going on, but I can't find it right now.
Everyone's best advice, including mine, is just to continue practicing until you feel comfortable. It's easier for me, I'm left handed and have never had any trouble with purling, but others seem to struggle.
Amy has some good video's on conti knitting at the top of this forum.

Have you checked to see you haven't added some stitches?
