I'm making a sweater similar to the Sirdar 1554 child sweater. It has a collar like this one. I messed up because I picked up too many stitches for the side borders (I picked up all the way to the neck edge). Is there a way that I can eliminate the neck edge stiches without having to take out the entire border and do over? I have to begin to pick up stitches on the neck to start the collar. I hope I explained myself enough.

Is this the one you refer to?

Hard to visualize exactly what you mean, but I fear the only way could be to take off the borders you have done and try again.
Picking up stitches for borders like that, I find, can often take more than one attempt to get them right. Either Too many sts or not enough. A general rule, which works most times for me, is to pick up 3 sts for every 4 rows.

The more I thought about it the more aggrivated I got that I wasted all that time knitting when it was wrong. I'm going to just rip out the borders and do them again, thanks for your help.
