This is set #2 for the Varriano baby boy, due in July.

This is completely STASH YARN! Whoo Hooo!
Jaegar Luxury Tweed MC and Debbie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed CC.

The jacket is knit all in one piece, as seen in the 4th photo.
I've made this pattern for baby girls and baby boys. I really like it.

Even though the CC was a heavier weight yarn, the collar and hat band didn't care. Used the US 6 needle throughout the entire project.

Here it is, drying on the blocking board. Had to wash, rinse, and soften this rather itchy yarn.

And finally, here is the leaflet, purchased about 2 years ago.

I use UNICORN FIBER WASH & RINSE (http://www.unicornfibre.com/)for all my natural fiber yarns. It is a godsend. And, you can use it with lukewarm-ish water. It goes a long ways, too.

For this particular yarn (jacket set) though, I gave it an extra rinse with a teensy bit of DOWNY in the water. Just to give it that extra bit of softness.

No itchiness left!

ArtLady,

I love what you have done with this pattern. Wonderful yarn for a little guy, luxury all the way. How many sizes is this pattern written in? A July baby doesn't need a lot of tiny warm stuff, but this looks like it will be for next winter. I like those little collars. They are so easy and add so much style. The thicker yarn worked perfectly. Your little hat is cute too, with the little top interest, and the button.

This family must be special for you to make all these things for the baby. Lucky them! It's a good thing to be on ArtLady's "special" list. :-)

Thanks for the tips about the softening. I have begun to learn the lesson you teach about blocking. I blocked the Fifi, and it helped. Thanks teach.

Pretty good, huh? The website given on the back of the leaflet is www.NaturallyYarnsNZ.com The leaflet is #K551. I don't know if it is still available.

Here is a photo of the navy blue jacket set I made last summer for the Houlihan's baby boy:

I 'designed' the skirt pattern based on an adult 'in-the-round' elastic waist skirt I've made for myself 3 times!

It is amazing how much you can do with a basic pattern like this!

K551 LEAFLET (http://www.naturallyyarnsnz.com/k551.htm)

I found it on their website, however, I didn't see a shopping cart feature. But there it is anyways. Perhaps we could GOOGLE the pattern and see who has it for sale on their website. My copy was only $4.50.

A GOOGLE search turned up this website, selling is for about $8.
